My Story

Welcome to Mama J’s Heavenly Scents!  I’m so glad you are here!

 

My name is Julie Swenson, also known as Mama J to my grandkids.  I am the owner of Mama J’s Heavenly Scents.  I began my love of crafting at the age of 8, primarily crocheting blankets.  While raising a family and working outside the home, crafting became my self-care… even if only for a few minutes a day.  I inherited the crafting bug from my wonderful mother, who continues to teach me new tips and tricks 46 years later.

I am also a Christian, and I am blessed to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  In 2024, while searching for aromatherapy blends on YouTube, I came across a video on soapmaking.  I instantly felt the Lord leading me down this path, and I became hooked immediately.  I am grateful that He chose me to use my talents to share the Word of God.  I pray that the bible verses included on the products can bring joy, hope, encouragement, peace, and comfort to all who read them.  Above all else, I pray that they lead someone to inviting the Lord into their heart as their Savior.
